a browser that feels like home.

loaf is a free Mac browser built with SwiftUI, AppKit, and WebKit. vertical tabs, profiles, split view, iCloud sync, a customizable startpage, and a miniplayer keep your browsing within reach.

tray

quick access to important stuff

loaf’s tray is a fast and easy way to access downloads, favorites, history, and more. it puts actionable content at the flick of your trackpad or the click of your mouse, paired with a smooth animation.

miniplayer

media, always within reach

the miniplayer allows you to control media your tabs are playing, with independent volume control and built-in play/pause, skip, and seek.

your internet, organized

loaf intelligently packs tabs, pins, media, weather, and the tray all into one collapsible sidebar. vertical tabs maximize space for the sites you visit. the sidebar also makes site titles faster to scan, and significantly improves tab organization.

wonderbar

intelligently-surfaced suggestions

the wonderbar securely draws from your browsing history and fetches search suggestions in real time, providing you with quick-access results.

the wonderbar offers shortcuts to Typewolf, Framer, Apple Music, teenage engineering, Awwwards, and fern.

profiles

keep workspaces separate

loaf lets you create multiple different profiles, each with their own history, cookies, and appearance. it’s easy to switch between them with just a swipe.

extension support

experimental Chrome extensions

although loaf uses WebKit, it features experimental extension support with extensions from the Chrome Web Store. advanced extensions may be broken, but many popular extensions work well.

native performance

easy on your battery & system resources

loaf’s architecture enables fast browsing through the deep optimization and system integration that WebKit (the same engine that powers Safari) offers. it uses native frameworks and is written entirely in Swift.
